I have been dancing with The Dance Studio of Swift Current for 15 years now, ever since the age of 4. I graduated from high school in 2022, and have been taking dance classes all throughout schooling and after graduation. I plan to stay in Swift Current for this year and continue to dance and teach/assist at The Dance Studio as well as take U of R courses through the local College here. I’ve taken classes in Ballet, Jazz, Pointe, Lyrical, Acrobatics, and Musical Theatre. I have completed Grade 1- Advanced CDTA Ballet exams as well as Grade 1- Advanced CDTA Jazz exams. I have also achieved my Intermediate Foundation RAD through Advanced 2 RAD Ballet exams. I have successfully completed my Associate CDTA Ballet and Jazz exams, and am currently working on my Licentiate CDTA Ballet and Jazz certifications.  

I have taken summer intensives with Lynnette Kelly, workshops with Brian and Faye Foley, as well as workshops with Lorie-Gay Drewitz-Gallaway and Sheri-Lou Drewitz-Kanten. In the summer of 2018, I won a partial scholarship for a summer intensive in Los Angeles at a competition. I ended up meeting some of the most amazing people and had the opportunity to take many classes with popular choreographers as well as make a dance music video that was filmed professionally! Dance has taken me many places and I will always love it no matter where I am.  

I began as a class helper at The Dance Studio at age 13 for a Preliminary Ballet class and have now assisted with many Ballet and Jazz classes of many ages. Over the past few years, I have taken up more teaching and have truly enjoyed it. I am interested in taking Biology and hope to pursue one day something in that field. I am also a passionate reader in my free time and enjoy spending time with my family and friends! I look forward to going to the lake every summer and creating more memories.   I have always loved dance since the beginning, and I truly don’t know where I’d be today without it. It has shaped me as a person and has become a part of me I don’t want to lose. I’ve enjoyed taking classes myself as well as watching younger dancers succeed which is why I enjoy assisting and teaching. I am looking forward to teaching at The Dance Studio this upcoming season!
